Panasonic’s New Home Theater Systems Boast Perfect Sound, Easy Operation And Energy-saving Design
Panasonic today announced the introduction of two new DVD
home theater systems that combine outstanding sound quality with functions that are sophisticated yet easy to use. The SC-PT770 and SC-PT670 both feature a built-in Universal Dock for iPod to play audio, video and photo content stored on an iPod and displays the audio and video titles on the TV screen. Included with the SC-PT770 is the SH-FX70 Wireless Kit for Rear Speakers1. Users can easily connect the rear speakers wirelessly without cables running from the front of the room to the back, so there is no tripping hazard to worry about or unsightly cables to hide.
For superior sound, the new SC-PT770 and SC-PT670 employ bamboo cones in the front and center speakers and a Kelton Subwoofer2. The Bamboo Cone Speaker is made of a highly rigid bamboo material that helps achieve an extremely pure, clear sound. The Kelton Subwoofer, with its unique dual-chamber structure, adds a rich, powerful bass. Driven by powerful 1,000-watt output (1kHz, 3 ohms, 10% THD), this combination of Bamboo Cone Speakers and Kelton Subwoofer delivers a sensational audio performance.
Believing that even the best product is no good if it's too hard to operate, Panasonic is committed to making products that are easy for anyone to use. This commitment is reflected in the SC-PT770 and SC-PT670. With both systems, the user can easily configure theater settings and other settings with the Smart Set-up function, following simple on-screen instructions and pressing buttons on the remote control. And both systems support Panasonic's VIERA LinkTM, a function that lets the user operate interconnected AV devices using only the remote control of a flat-panel VIERA TV.
It boasts a three-position switch for flexible setting [Left Surround/Right Surround (5.1ch), Left Surround /Left Surround Back (7.1ch for 7.1ch systems), Right Surround/ Right Surround Back (7.1ch)] and an ID Set Switch.
The SH-FX70 Wireless Kit for Rear Speakers, included in the SC-PT770, is available as an optional upgrade for the SC-PT670. It provides wireless rear audio with a wireless-ready home theater using a 2.4 GHz frequency and a digital transmitter card with east insert adaptor terminals and a compact rear receiver. It boasts a three-position switch for flexible setting [Left Surround/Right Surround (5.1ch), Left Surround /Left Surround Back (7.1ch for 7.1ch systems), Right Surround/ Right Surround Back (7.1ch)] and an ID Set Switch.
The SC-PT770 and SC-PT670 are impressive for their environmental performance too. Both incorporate Panasonic's new Uniphier®, a single-chip LSI that contains the entire video signal processing circuit. This reduces energy consumption by around 20% compared to last year's SC-PT760 and SC-PT660, while also reducing the number of parts and allowing a smaller design.
Panasonic's two new DVD home theater systems provide the superior audio performance needed to enjoy today's high-quality media, while also adding attractive networking functions, easy operation and an energy-saving design.
Both models will be available in the spring of 2009. The SC-PT670 will have a suggested retail price (SRP) of $299.95 and the SC-PT770 will have a SRP of $399.95.
1.The wireless kit can be purchased separately for the SC-PT670
2 SC-PT770 only.
