New Pioneer Slim DVD Players Deliver Entertainment In Every Room

With multi-format compatibility and a sophisticated build quality, Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. today introduces two slim DVD players offering uncompromised playback of multimedia entertainment. The DV-310 and DV-410V DVD players offer enhanced form and functionality that make them the ideal source components in any room. With HDMI®, the DV-410V gives consumers a simple connectivity solution as well as video upscaling to 1080p for compatibility with new flat panel displays. A front panel USB port on both players gives consumers the ability to enjoy music, photos or video stored on a USB key in high quality.

Advanced Playback Capabilities

As all-in-one playback sources, the two new Pioneer DVD players enhance the performance of numerous media formats including, DVD-R/RW, +R/RW, CD-R/RW, SVCD and VCD. The DV-310 and DV-410V provide playback of WMA and MP3 compressed audio files burned to a disc or saved to a USB flash drive. With PhotoViewer, users can share personal JPEG photo files with family and friends. Both players have official DivX certification that allow users to playback high quality audio and video content stored to an optical disc.

Superior Video Experience

Rising above lower quality players, the new Pioneer devices are outfitted with industry-leading video features and engineering to deliver smooth, sharp reproduction with high resolution picture performance. To fulfill the dynamic movie viewing experience of home audiences, the two new DVD players take advantage of Pioneer’s renowned PureCinema 2:3 Progressive Scan technology that eliminates many troublesome image artifacts like jagged edges or excessive film judder. Additional high performance parts are utilized in both players to output a clearer, more accurate picture of all video content.

Surround Sound Audio

Bringing the on-screen action to life, Pioneer’s new DVD players offer Dolby® Digital and DTS® decoding for 5.1 surround sound. Pioneer gives users the ability to tailor their entertainment experience with various audio customization capabilities including Dialogue Enhancer to improve the narrative quality during particularly loud background scenes as well as Virtual Surround to hear rear audio even when surround back speakers are not being used.

Connect to Your Flat Panel Display

Pioneer’s next generation HDMI upconverting DVD player provides quick connectivity and easy set-up with new 1080p HDTVs. With HDMI, the new DV-410V eliminates the video conversions that take place between analog and digital signals when playing standard DVD to a connected HDTV maintaining the best possible picture on the display. The Pioneer DV-410V will also be made available in June 2008 at a suggested price of $99.

Progressive DVD Player

As Pioneer’s introductory model, the DV-310 is a progressive DVD player that can be easily integrated in an array of rooms including, a dorm, child’s room or secondary bedroom. The new player takes advantage of Pioneer’s optical disc heritage to output premium picture and sound quality that looks and sounds superior to the original content. The Pioneer DV-310 is also available in silver and will begin shipping in May 2008 for a suggested price of $69.
