New Onkyo Home Theater Products Compatible With HDMI 1.4a Including 3D Video Formats

Onkyo USA confirmed today that its home theater products currently being rolled out and on sale after March 2010 will be compatible with the “Side-By-Side (Half)” and “Top-and-Bottom” 3D video formats*1. These formats have been added by HDMI Licensing, LLC*2 as mandatory formats for 3D broadcast content in the specification for HDMI version 1.4a.

Onkyo’s announcement applies to the recently announced A/V receiver models TX-SR308, TX-SR508 and TX-SR608, home theater system models HT-S3300, HT-S5300 and HTX-22HDX, as well as all A/V receivers and HTiB products that will be introduced this year…
