Sharp Unveils New Audio Systems And iPod/iPhone Clock Radio Speaker Docks

Sharp Electronics Corporation unveils a suite of new audio systems, including 2 new mini component and 2 micro component systems, a HiFi component system and 2 iPhone/iPod clock radio speaker docks that deliver powerful sound and advanced connectivity features to just about any audio source available.

The XL-HF200P HiFi component system provides music enjoyment from different sources via an iPod and iPhone-compatible dock, CD player and a USB port for portable player connection, as well as MP3 and WMA file compatibility. Two 2-way speakers with dome tweeters deliver a strong 100 Watts RMS power. The front panel of the sleek system has an attractive black hairline accent.

The CD-DH950P and CD-DHS1050P mini component systems feature a dock for iPods and iPhones (including the new iPhone4), as well as a USB input and a 5x-CD changer. Sharp’s new CD-DH950P and CD-DHS1050P mini component systems offer access to content stored on all portable devices via a built-in dock for iPods and iPhones (including the iPhone4), as well as USB and 3.5mm audio inputs. Docked iPods and iPhones automatically charge for the next use on-the-go. Both also feature 5x-CD changers and a full-logic cassette deck for playback. The CD-DH950P and CD-DHS1050P have digital amplifiers with 240 Watt and 350 Watt RMS output power, respectively, with bass/treble and X-BASS for extra sonic punch. Both models feature environmentally-conscious design and are ENERGY STAR® qualified.

The XL-DH259P and XL-DH229P micro component systems also offer iPhone and iPod playback via built-in docks, CD player, as well as USB and 3.5mm audio inputs for connecting other portable devices. Docked iPhones and iPods automatically charge for the next on-the-go use. A CD player with MP3 and WMA file playback compatibility rounds out the wide audio source compatibility. The XL-DH259P and XL-DH229P both have powerful digital amplifiers with 160 and 100 Watts RMS power output, respectively, 2-way speakers and adjustable bass/treble and X-BASS controls.

Sharp’s new DK-CL5P and DK-CL3P iPod/iPhone clock radio speaker docks allow users to wake up to their favorite music stored on popular portables, including those that can be connected via a 3.5mm audio plug, as well as FM radio. Taking iPod/iPhone functionality to the next level, both offer video out terminals that allow video content stored on these devices to be played back on a television. Both models also offer clock, sleep, alarm and snooze functions.

The DK-CL5P offers a USB port and SD card reader for playback of content stored on cards, flash drives and other portable devices. The FM tuner also has a 20-station preset memory to quickly access favorite radio programming, and a five-setting equalizer (Flat/Rock/ Classic/Pop/Jazz) lets users adjust the dock for enjoying any kind of music. The DK-CL5P also features a dual alarm function.
